No, after years of geese tempting fate and feeling safe from our group in the fairways (smart bet), one league member finally connected. While kind of sad if you're an animal lover...or super happy if youre a hunter, either way it was something special. There were plenty of "birdie" jokes heard on the 9th green after most of us found out. Actual picture evidence can be seen by contacting John Gray or Alison House.

There were only 2 subs needed this week, and all squads were full. Hooray. Please keep showing up early for tee times. It was better this week, but we were still late.

Low gross and net went to yours truely last week, as I fired a 1 over 36, net 30. Not to be outshined, Shay Irving posted a season best 48, net 31 and dropped his handicap by 4 strokes for next week. Both Alison House and Sue Hopkins beat up on their handicap, and opponents, with a 49(32) and 48(32) respectively. both of their handicaps dropped a stroke for next week too. Nice shooting.

Five weeks into the season, and looking at the scores this week, it appears players are rounding into almost mid season form. For all current statistics, be sure to check out the pages on the website. There you will find what your average 9 hole round has been (Gross Score), as well as your average Net Score for 9 holes. The net score is a key determining factor on how you've been shooting relative to your personal handicap. its no surprise that the individual point leaders are shooting at or below their handicaps each week.

I also have updated the "Ringer Report". In there, you can scout out your competition each week to see what their best score on all the holes have been this year. And also, if they had shot their best on each hole in one round, their best 9 hole total. It's basically the best potential round that person has in them if they played their best. Personally, i hate holes 14 & 15 this year. What about you?
