Can anyone take down Wiedrick?? Jeff (44/35) continues his impressive play this year, beating his handicap yet again. He was only 1 of 3 players to do so on the back this week. While the back continues to play much harder than the front, the scores this week were a little better than normal. Perhaps the 20mph winds helped the league out on half the holes. Low rounds of the day go to Mueller and Schaefer, both firing 41's.
Making his return after missing most of the season, Shay shook some of the rust off and actually walked the course yesterday. Welcome back Shay. Hopefully the remaining 6 weeks go a little better from now on.
Thanks to everyone for showing up earlier this past week. We tee'd off relatively on time this week finally.
However, play was still slow and there was a lot of waiting. Please try and keep up with the group ahead of you each week. You can still play fast, even if you're playing poorly.
I wanted to post an example explaining scoring of a match of men v ladies, to clarify it again. Sorry Bob Z, you actually lost your match, not tied Alison. Here's why:

For hole 14, you can see that the Ladies are playing a par 5 and men are playing a par 4. When determining who won the hole, it is not total # strokes, but # strokes to par for the hole. In this match, Bob shot a 4 on the par 4, so even. Alison shot a 5 on her par 5, also even. However, she was getting a stroke here, so a net (-1), and she wins that hole.
Any questions on scoring, see the section on the website, or shoot me an email.
