Week 9 - Subs Across America

Lots of subs this week, but some made a longer trek than others. Tom Weaver graced us with his presence all the way from San Diego. You would've thought he has been playing a lot, living out there, but hes played exactly one round before last week. We also had T Hahn's friend, Mick Collins, from Connecticut make an appearance as well. Mick's 39 tied for 2nd best score of the day with Bob Schaefer. Low gross of the week went to Matt Murphy, who 1 up'd his playing partner with a low 38 including 5 pars and 1 birdie.

We are already half way through the season this year. Wow.

Checking the standings, there are 5 teams within 4 points of first place. Still anyone's to win at this point.

Top individuals so far are Lee Hanvey & Jeff Wiedrick, both with 8 points. Top woman right now is Alison House. Again, neither are running away with it.

I have updated the statistics page with the most current info. There are 6 categories to check out when you get a chance.

Average Gross - What players are averaging before their handicaps are applied.

Average Net - What players are averaging after their handicaps are applied. Typically, those with low net average are playing at or around their handicap each week and leading in points.

Individual Points Leaders - exactly what you think

Past Scores/Handicaps - List of all players scores this year, and handicap trend

Ringer Report Front/Back - This gives a players best score on each hole this year, and joins them together as if it were one round. Pretty much a best case scenario for everyone.

I was approached about adding weekly games by a few people. We could start up skins competition and closest to pin if there is enough interest. Most likely it would be in the $3 to $5 range for either. If you are interested in getting in on a little betting, let me know via email.
